STATEMENT FROM THE FOUNDER
My name is Michael Roy and I am the founder and Executive Director of Clearview Treatment Programs and The Women’s Center. Clearview continues to be an owner/operated program.
For the past 17 years, I have worked as a clinician, therapist, administrator, and director of several nationally known treatment centers. Ten years ago, I started Clearview. I take great pride in the fact that I am personally involved in every aspect of treatment at Clearview.
To this day I remain available to patients and family members. Should you choose Clearview for your treatment needs or the needs of a loved one, you have my personal guarantee that you will receive the best care available.

WHY THE WOMEN’S CENTER
The concept of the Women’s Center arose in response to a need I observed over many years of working in treatment settings. Women with primary psychiatric disorders and/or personality disorders, including Borderline Personality Disorder, have struggled to get their needs met in traditional psychiatric hospital and/or dual diagnosis settings.
Their struggle with emotional dysregulation (often unresponsive to medications), interpersonal difficulties, impulse control, and/or self harmful behaviors have often led to one or more treatment failures. These failures further the belief their situation is hopeless, they cannot be helped, and that treatment does not work.
At Clearview Women’s Center we have created a truly unique program, one of the few of its kind nationally. Our intensive individual and group therapy program utilizes the latest developments in therapeutic modalities including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mentalization based interventions, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Somatic Experiencing. Every aspect of the program is designed with the needs of women in mind.
A RESIDENTIAL HOME-LIKE SETTING
Our treatment program is provided in the comfort of a beautiful home in an upscale residential neighborhood. We are not hospital based. We treat only six women at a time allowing for personal attention to each patient. All Treatment is delivered on-site, with 24 hour supervision and the ability to intervene on a moment to moment basis.
Providing treatment in a real world, home-like setting, rather than a hospital, enables us to provide a secure, warm, therapeutic environment to our women. The Women’s Center is licensed by the State of California for the treatment of mental health conditions.
MULTIPLE LEVELS OF CARE
Research has demonstrated that one of the most critical factors effecting treatment outcomes is length of treatment. As such, Clearview provides various levels of care based on clinical need, enabling patients to benefit from a comprehensive treatment experience.
Levels of care include Residential/Inpatient Treatment, Transitional Living Environment, Intensive Day Treatment, and Outpatient Treatment Programs. Patient’s living outside the Los Angeles area are given detailed aftercare plans that connect them with local therapeutic and psychiatric resources.
