Perhaps you’ve tried outpatient programs or individual therapy and found they weren’t addressing your needs fully. Perhaps your therapist or doctor recommended you participate in a higher level of care. Perhaps you feel trapped in your current surroundings and need the time and space to breathe and focus on you.
Residential treatment can address all of these concerns, allowing you to remove yourself from your environment and enter a safe, supportive space completely focused on you and your health.
In Clearview Women’s Center’s residential treatment program, you’ll be fully immersed in a structured treatment setting, learning skills and receiving personalized care on a daily basis. You’ll be given constant opportunities to apply your newfound tools and learn to use them in the outside world so that, when you return home, you can create the life you desire.
Clearview Women’s Center, internationally known and recognized for its expertise in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), is the only treatment center on the West Coast that offers comprehensive DBT across all levels of care.

How Does Residential Treatment Work?
Clearview’s Women’s Center is located in sunny Venice Beach, Calif., where you will live in one of two beautiful and well-appointed homes. Both the living quarters and program facilities are warm, nurturing, and intimate, and are designed to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We have created a place of hope and healing so you can feel at ease while you recover.
In residential treatment at Clearview Women’s Center, you will receive around-the-clock care from highly trained therapists and staff, all of whom have the education and compassion to support you and your goals. You will live in an intimate all-female setting, allowing for a feeling of safety and nurturing as you address even your most difficult issues.
During the weekdays, you will have individual and group therapy at a location near to the residences. At our healing therapy center, you will meet regularly with one of our DBT therapists, all of whom have doctorate degrees. You will receive two to three individual DBT sessions per week and meet with the psychiatrist weekly.
You will also participate in groups such as DBT skills training, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), behavioral activation, Seeking Safety for trauma, mindfulness, art therapy, yoga therapy, coaching, and pottery. When appropriate, you will have access to Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PET) to help treat your trauma and PTSD symptoms. You will also go on regular mindfulness outings and eat healthy meals prepared by our private chef.
In the evenings and on weekends, you will have structured activities along with some down time. These activities can include gym outings, beach walks, AA meetings (as appropriate), and store runs.
While in residential treatment, you will have access to coaching and skills practice whenever you need it so that you never feel alone while you are in treatment at Clearview. Our team of therapists and community counselors are here to make sure you gain the skills needed to have a successful return to your daily life.
We provide customized treatment plans and a nurturing, intimate environment in which to accomplish them.
Who Is Appropriate for Residential Treatment?
Residential treatment is most appropriate for women with one or more of the above diagnoses who are having difficulties managing their daily lives, even if they are engaging in regular therapy sessions. Sometimes, you need to distance from home and your daily stressors to put the focus on you and your healing.
If you find that you just can’t get your emotions under control, are having difficulties maintaining professional and personal relationships, are engaging in self-harmful behaviors, or have intense depression or anxiety, residential treatment may be just what you need. At Clearview Women’s Center, our expertise allows us to provide successful treatment for even the most acute diagnoses.
It’s not always easy to make the decision to take time away from your busy schedule, but Clearview Women’s Center’s residential treatment program will supply the foundation for your recovery, allowing you to better manage your symptoms, create healthier relationships, and live a more balanced life.
